It all starts with the online collection of ideas. You can submit your ideas here on this platform and you will be invited to a “meeting of idea makers.”
Here you can present your project ideas and talk about them with other like-minded people. Anyone who wants to help turn ideas into concrete projects is very welcome. Florian Gerer, our youth and cultural projects expert, will mentor you. He not only supports you during the development process, but also provides you with practical help so that your projects can reach their full potential. There will be an alternative date for everyone who did not have time at the idea generators' meeting. We make every effort so that anyone interested can participate.
Online voting: The decision as to which projects are actually implemented is up to you. All developed project ideas are displayed on the platform mitgestalten.lustenau.at and go into the voting phase. Here you can vote for the projects that are most important to you. A jury consisting of youth workers from OK-JA! , Florian Gerer and 2 young people must confirm that there have been no irregularities and will release the decision.
Closing event: During a joint evening at DÔ, the idea makers will once again have the opportunity to present their winning projects and can start implementing them.
About this process
Welcome to “DÔ IT! Youth project budget”. We want to discover your brilliant ideas and visions! We want to encourage young people like you to form teams and provide financial support for their innovative projects. Whether you're dreaming of clubbing, a workshop, or an exciting theatre, we want to help you make those dreams a reality.
Our budget: We have a total of €6000, -, which we would like to invest in your projects. This money should be used to put your ideas into practice and to offer you and your friends a platform to realise your ideas for Lustenau.
How does it work?
- It all starts with the online collection of ideas. You can submit your ideas here on this platform and you will be invited to the meeting of the idea makers. For the ideas, it is not yet important how much money is needed to implement them. This is then worked out together.
- Meet the idea makers: Here you can present your project ideas and talk about them with other like-minded people. Anyone who wants to help turn ideas into concrete projects is very welcome. Florian Gerer, responsible for dô and open child and youth work in Lustenau, will mentor you. He not only supports you during the development process, but also provides you with practical help so that your projects can reach their full potential. For example, also for the financing accruing for the respective project. There will be an alternative date for those who did not have time at the idea generators' meeting. We make every effort so that anyone interested can participate.

Project criteria: The projects should be public use, i.e. not profit-oriented. The projects should have a public character. The project can be implemented in dô, but is not bound to it. The respective projects should be able to be implemented within the given budget within the given period. Florian will help you with this assessment!
Implementation: The implementation of your selected projects is in your hands. This is not just about financial support, but also about promoting teamwork, creativity and your personal development. With Florian's support, the projects will run smoothly and you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills.
Time period: The “dô it!” The project runs between October 2023 and June 2024. During these months, you can collect ideas, select and implement projects. We've created a flexible time frame that meets your individual needs and the requirements of your projects.
With the “dô it! Youth Project Budget”, you get a platform on which you can not only develop your creative ideas, but also receive the support and resources to turn these ideas into reality. Let's create great things together!
